Bernard M. Portman, M.D.

 

Dr. Portman received his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his internship at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital of St. Louis and completed his pediatric residency at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Portman also did a tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps prior to his medical degree. Dr. Portman began his private practice in Savannah in 1959 and is one of the founding fathers of Savannah Pediatrics, opening the Practice with Dr. J. Patrick Evans in 1961.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Georgia Medical Society.

 

Michel F. Steinfelt, M.D.

 

Dr. Steinfeldt is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. He received his undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Boston. He received his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Akron in Ohio. Dr. Steinfeldt did a tour of duty in the United States Navy before coming to Savannah to join Savannah Pediatrics in 1972. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Georgia Medical Society.

 

Ivette D. Rico, M.D.

 

Dr. Rico was born in Rio Pirdras, Puerto Rico and received her bachelor’s degree at the University of  Puerto Rico in San Juan. She received her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She completed her internship and pediatric residency at the University Pediatrics Hospital in San Juan. Dr. Rico joined Savannah Pediatrics in 1994. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, the Georgia Medical Society and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rico is also fluent in Spanish (Castillian).

 

Monica B. Manocha, M.D.

 

Dr. Manocha is a native of New Delhi, India. She received her undergraduate degree and her medical degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She completed her internship and her pediatric residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She also completed a one year neonatology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Dr. Manocha joined Savannah Pediatrics in 1996. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Georgia Medical Society.

 

Susan B. Daly, M.D.

 

Dr. Daly was born in South Weymouth, Massachusetts but was raised in Florida and Atlanta. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia. She received her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her internship and pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital and Emory University. Dr. Daly joined Savannah Pediatrics in 1997. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

 

Shana C. Bondo, M.D.

 

Dr. Bondo is a native of Kershaw, South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and her Masters of Science in Public Health: Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina.  She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her internship and pediatric residency at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Bondo joined Savannah Pediatrics in 2007. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
